“My first organised-group hiking trip! (and would consider future such trips!) Went for SANL's twin-peak Korea hiking in late-May 2026 (the main two peaks are Gayasan and Jirisan), as SANL was recommended by my friend who has gone with them for several other trips. Before the trip, SANL was responsive with my queries and also briefed the group on what to expect on the trip, which I appreciated. I enjoyed myself on the tour, with SANL's TS Chua taking care of the group, seamless logistics and interesting local information by friendly local guide 智沿, amazing hikes with the reliable local hiking guide 证训, and good transportation with the local private bus driver! The weather was really good and thus we enjoyed spectacular views on the hikes (after lots of effort to hike rocky and stair-y terrain)!! Accommodations were nice and I personally felt the single supplement was quite worth it! We got to eat a variety of nice Korean food across the days, especially delicious after the hikes. At various points in the trip, we also got to enjoy some local sights and activities as well, like the rail bike, historical sites, a hot foot bath, and see the sunset from a lookout point. There was also a spot of shopping on the last day, but that was not of great interest personally. Thanks SANL, local guides (智沿 and 证训), and fellow hikers, for this meaningful and enjoyable experience =)”

“I do not usually write reviews, but had an amazing trip with SANL, doing the iconic Tour du Mont Blanc (TMB) this June. With TS (the boss of SANL), there is no fancy, over-hyped marketing or promises, but a well planned itinerary refined over the many years he had done TMB. What I received was truly an incredible experience, and for the price I paid, very good value for money. Accommodations & Food: Pleasantly surprised by the selection and quality of the hotels and restaurants. Buffet breakfast at Chamonix hotel where we stayed 3 nights was awesome! Guide: Sarah, our French hiking guide was exceptional. Incredibly professional yet so personable and warm, she felt like a personal friend. Many times when the hiking was challenging, esp at the high passes where the snow was thick and the wind was howling, she gave us the quiet confidence to trust her and keep going. We had a blast! Small group of 12 participants: Before the trip, one thing that worried me was the group dynamics, as I did not know the majority of the participants. In hiking, group dynamics can make or break a trip, as we bond while tackling the tough terrain. I was very relieved that everyone was SOOO friendly, helpful, kind and generous. The chatter and banter along the trails and at dinner times are precious memories ! Hiking: The hiking was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Challenging but so rewarding, magnificent views at every turn. Thank you to SANL for making an epic adventure like the TMB accessible to ordinary folks like me!”

“The Dolomites was an unforgettable experience. The breathtaking scenery, challenging hikes, and wonderful company made every step worthwhile. It was my first hiking trip, and it certainly won't be my last. Everything was exceptionally well organised from start to finish. From the moment we landed, every detail from the airport transfers and hotel arrangements to the daily logistics, was seamless and well planned. Thank you SANL. Also, a heartfelt thank you to our guide, Sarah, for her professionalism, patience, encouragement, and for taking such great care of all of us on every hike. Last but not the least, a special thank you to our group leader, Elaine, for making everything run so smoothly and keeping all the "ducks" in line. It was a truly wonderful trip and what an amazing experience it was.”

“This is my 2nd trip with SANL and am thankful that I had not much difficulty completing the hikes. I was contentedly happy as I was able to be found hiking in the midst of towering mountains, torrential waterfalls and the sight of padi fields at Ha Giang which initially seemed an insurmountable challenge. I cannot ask for more! 😍 I was pleased with the home-stays arranged by SANL with fresh air and scenic sights. The food served was authentic and gratifying 😋 Our Vietnamese guide Ricky was spontaneously helpful in so many unexpected ways in helping the stall holder pick the chocolate mint and basil for our noodles and even assist to prepare our sugar cane drinks! Together with Mike our coach driver who skilfully and calmly steer through the narrow and windy slopes as we ascend and descend the mountains 🙏 I have made friends through this trip 👯‍♀️👬 including TS Chua who was our local guide and hiker, a nature lover and fun loving person who peppered us with his sense of humour and wit throughout the trip 😃”
